Project Overview
The Shenzhen Tongle IDC and Shenzhen Unicom Pingshan facilities connect directly to China Telecom’s ChinaNet backbone at 40 Gbps and China Unicom’s UNINet backbone at 60 Gbps. Redundant network links ensure fast, reliable backbone connectivity. Together, they form Shenzhen’s largest carrier-neutral IDC data center.
Project Scope
The project improves energy efficiency by optimizing coordinated equipment control and system setpoints, while upgrading intelligent energy management capabilities.
Project Benefits
Energy efficiency: Intelligent data analysis and energy-saving control guided by IT energy consumption and cooling plant equipment efficiency.
Digitalization: A comprehensive platform enables digital management and visualization of data center operations.
Intelligent management: Smart work orders and reports improve operations and maintenance efficiency.
With high-speed backbone access and redundant network connections, the Shenzhen Tongle IDC and Shenzhen Unicom Pingshan facilities support highly reliable data center operations. Energy efficiency upgrades must account for both IT loads and cooling plant conditions, applying system-wide optimization while maintaining a stable server room environment.
Key Areas of Energy Optimization
Coordinated Equipment Control and Setpoint Optimization
The project refines existing equipment control logic and system setpoints, bringing individual equipment adjustments into a unified energy management framework. Continuous analysis of cooling plant operating conditions informs control strategies across different loads.
Optimization Guided by IT Energy Use and Cooling Efficiency
The system considers both IT energy consumption and cooling plant equipment efficiency. Data analysis and energy-saving control align with overall data center operating goals, enabling coordinated energy management across the facility.
Integrated Digital Operations and Maintenance
The platform visualizes data center operating data and supports maintenance management through smart work orders and reports. Linking energy data, equipment status, and maintenance tasks in one platform helps managers track anomalies, review performance, and continuously improve workflows.
Applicable Scenarios
This solution is suitable for IDC facilities and data center campuses seeking to balance reliability, energy efficiency, and maintenance productivity. It provides a practical reference for intelligent upgrades to existing cooling plants and coordinated equipment control systems.
