DeepCtrls at Summer Davos: Tackling Global Energy Challenges with Physical AI
Published: 2026-6-25
The World Economic Forum’s 17th Annual Meeting of the New Champions (Summer Davos 2026) took place in Dalian from June 23 to 25. Under the theme “Innovating at Scale,” the meeting brought together more than 1,700 business, government, academic, and innovation leaders from over 90 countries and regions. More than 50 sessions explored five core themes. Chinese Premier Li Qiang delivered the opening keynote, calling for openness and innovation to address shared global development challenges.
As CEO of a 2026 WEF Technology Pioneer, Dr. Li Hui of Deepctrls was invited to attend. He participated in closed-door roundtables, including “Scaling Climate Governance and Solutions” and “Building Competitive Advantage Through Green Solutions,” joining global innovation leaders to discuss energy challenges and green growth opportunities in the AI era.
AI is reshaping industries worldwide. From large-scale model training to AI data center construction, rising computing demand is also creating growing energy challenges.
Core Technology and Solutions
To address the dual reality of AI-driven growth and increasing energy consumption, Dr. Li presented the “AI for AI” concept: using AI to optimize the energy infrastructure that supports its own development, making AI an important tool for addressing its energy demands.
DeepCtrls integrates physical principles with AI to enable real-time sensing, predictive decision-making, and autonomous optimization across complex energy systems. This approach supports efficient, sustainable operations in energy-intensive sectors such as manufacturing and data centers, offering a new technological model for the global green transition.
The approach also received recognition from the WEF’s innovator community. During a closed-door meeting, Verena Kuhn, Head of the Global Innovators Community, highlighted Deepctrls’ Physical AI work as a notable example of improving energy efficiency and scaling green technologies. She expressed the community’s interest in supporting international exchange and collaboration around these innovations.
Deployment and Key Capabilities
DeepCtrls’ proprietary products—including Physical AI energy optimization systems, energy efficiency agents, and AI-native energy management platforms—have been deployed at scale across manufacturing, AI data centers, and new energy industries.
Following customers’ international expansion, these solutions have reached Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North America, and other markets, delivering energy savings, carbon reductions, and operational improvements.
In the opening year of China’s 15th Five-Year Plan, Deepctrls’ recognition as a WEF Technology Pioneer and participation in Summer Davos reflect international recognition of Chinese technological innovation. They also highlight Physical AI’s role in the global energy transition and next-generation computing infrastructure.
Industry Value and Future Direction
From manufacturing to AI computing infrastructure, and from energy optimization to the development of new infrastructure for the AI era, Physical AI is becoming a vital bridge between artificial intelligence and the physical world.
DeepCtrls will continue advancing Physical AI and expanding deployment through the WEF innovation ecosystem, contributing Chinese technology and expertise to the global energy transition and the modernization of intelligent infrastructure.
