Physical AI for Computing and Energy: DeepCtrls Recognized Among the 2026 IDC China AI 50

Published: 2026-8-1

Industry Context and Recognition

The global AI industry is entering a new phase of large-scale deployment. As model capabilities advance, AI is rapidly expanding from the digital world into physical environments. Enabling AI to understand complex conditions, connect with physical systems, and make autonomous decisions has become essential to its continued development.

On July 30, IDC announced its 2026 China AI 50 list. DeepCtrls was selected for its leadership in Physical AI innovation and large-scale industrial deployment, becoming the only energy AI company on the list.

The IDC China AI 50 recognizes key companies across the AI value chain, evaluating their technological innovation, practical application value, and market influence to identify businesses driving the industry forward.

Significance of the Recognition

This year’s list includes leading AI companies such as DeepSeek, Zhipu AI, Moonshot AI, Tencent Cloud, Microsoft China, and iFlytek, spanning foundation models, intelligent computing, industry applications, and AI infrastructure.

As a pioneer and leader in Physical AI for energy, Deepctrls has explored the integration of AI and physical principles since 2018. It pioneered a “physics-based framework + AI” approach and developed PhyAI, its proprietary energy intelligence engine, enabling AI to understand, simulate, and optimize real-world physical systems.

Built on PhyAI, Deepctrls introduced the industry’s first L4–L5 energy agent portfolio, covering system-wide optimization, autonomous equipment control, and campus-wide energy coordination. These capabilities enable autonomous sensing, decision-making, and real-time optimization across individual assets and complex energy systems, advancing infrastructure from automated control toward intelligent autonomy.

Guided by its “AI for AI” strategy, Deepctrls continues to develop Physical AI applications for AI data centers and advanced manufacturing. Its next-generation intelligent energy infrastructure integrates AI-powered energy efficiency, generation–grid–load–storage coordination, and computing–power coordination, creating an intelligent control hub for converging computing and energy infrastructure.

Deepctrls currently serves more than 390 leading companies worldwide, with operations in over ten countries across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, North America, and other markets. Its technology controls more than 300,000 industrial devices, supporting the transition toward increasingly intelligent and autonomous energy infrastructure.

Selection for the IDC China AI 50 recognizes Deepctrls’ combined strengths in Physical AI innovation, industrial application, and commercial deployment.

Deepctrls will continue advancing PhyAI, helping AI progress from “sensing and computing” to “understanding and control” and supporting the transition of global computing and energy infrastructure toward L5-level intelligent autonomy.
