WAIC 2026: Jiangsu Governor Liu Xiaotao Visits DeepCtrls
Published: 2026-7-18
On the afternoon of July 18, Liu Xiaotao, Governor of Jiangsu Province; Li Zhongjun, Mayor of Nanjing; and Professor Harry Shum, a leading AI expert and Chairman of the Council of the Hong Kong University of Science and Technology, visited the DeepCtrls booth at the 2026 World Artificial Intelligence Conference (WAIC 2026). The delegation explored the company’s innovations and industrial applications in Physical AI, accompanied by Li Hui, Founder and CEO of DeepCtrls.
Li Hui presented the company’s technology framework and practical deployments under its vision of “Reshaping Global Computing and Energy Infrastructure with Physical AI.”
To address the energy challenges created by rapidly growing computing demand, Deepctrls developed PhyAI, its proprietary physical intelligence engine. Its distinctive Physical AI model for electromechanical energy systems integrates fundamental physical principles with AI algorithms, enabling L4/L5-level autonomous sensing, simulation-based optimization, and closed-loop control across energy infrastructure in AI data centers and advanced manufacturing. This approach addresses longstanding barriers to industrial AI adoption, including opaque, untrustworthy models and deployment difficulties.
Deepctrls now serves more than 390 leading enterprises, reaching over 60% of leading customers in key sectors such as semiconductors and AI data centers. Real-time data from 300,000 industrial devices supports continuous technology refinement. The company operates in more than ten countries and regions across Southeast Asia, the Middle East, Europe, and North America. It is one of CAICT’s ten organizations selected to tackle key computing–power coordination challenges and is currently the only Physical AI company in the energy sector to achieve both large-scale deployment and profitability.
During the visit, Li Hui demonstrated core applications in AI-powered energy optimization, AI liquid cooling control, and computing–power coordination. As one of China’s earliest companies to focus on Physical AI for energy, Deepctrls pioneered an “AI for AI” approach: using AI to optimize the energy infrastructure that powers the AI industry itself. This extends AI from reasoning and creation in the digital world to sensing and control in the physical world, providing essential infrastructure for sustainable AI development.
Governor Liu listened closely to the presentation and recognized Deepctrls’ technological breakthroughs and commercialization achievements in Physical AI. He encouraged the company to continue advancing its core technologies and support the green, intelligent transformation of global advanced manufacturing and computing industries.
Under the theme “AI for AI,” Deepctrls showcased Physical AI deployments across a broad range of applications at WAIC 2026. Its progress also reflects Jiangsu’s efforts to integrate AI with the real economy and establish a leading green computing industry.
Deepctrls will continue investing in core technology research and accelerating the integration of Physical AI with energy infrastructure, supporting greener computing and more intelligent industrial operations worldwide.
